EVERGREEN FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER | ALDERFER THREE SISTERS PARK
Minda happened upon a recommendation for my Evergreen family photography on a local mom’s group on Facebook and I am so glad that she did. Minda and her husband moved to the beautiful state of Colorado from New Mexico just two short years ago. I was so excited to have the honor of capturing their first family session in Colorado; let’s be honest…Colorado makes being a photographer a little bit easier. I have yet to come across an ugly spot in this gorgeous place. It’s next to impossible, I think.
Minda wanted to capture some of the Colorado scenery in their first family session in the state. She explained that all of their past family photo sessions from New Mexico included an abundance of rocks and dirt, so she was pretty ready to change up the photo session scenery.
We decided upon Alderfer Three Sisters Park in Evergreen. Plenty of beautiful greenery; long tall end-of-summer grass, Evergreen trees, and little hints of Fall here and there. With easy dirt trails and a close-to-Denver location; Alderfer Three Sisters was a perfect choice for this family with two young kiddos.
It’s so warm sometimes in Denver in the Fall, I find that a big percentage of my family photography session clients are “faking” the season. Many families arrive to their session sporting their beautiful warm Fall sweaters in jewel tones and don’t forget the boots and scarves. The beautiful pictures are worth the hour of sweating though, and soon enough we will probably be dealing with those October blizzards.
