Blackstone Rivers Ranch is hands down one of the most stunning Colorado wedding venues I have ever had the chance to photograph a wedding at. Nestled along the creekside just a skip and a hop from the well-known mountain town of Idaho Springs, this little mountainside venue boasts a stunning outdoor wedding venue backdrop within an hour of the big city. This makes it a perfect spot for couples who have a lot of out-of-town guests flying into DIA – no crazy travel times for guests. The easy-access is a huge plus.
I love how it feels secluded yet so close to Denver at this venue. There are so many great photo opportunities at the ranch including an adorable covered bridge that welcomes you to the venue when you arrive and of course some gorgeous spots along the creek and in the Aspen grove!
Michael and Amy’s July wedding at Blackstone Rivers Ranch was nothing short of stunning. After they exchanged their vows and sealed their marriage with a kiss with the creek and Aspen trees as a backdrop, Michael and Amy had a fun and laid-back reception outdoors under the permanent tent on the lawn.
Blackstone Rivers Ranch even has a fire pit which is such a fun and unique addition to couples’ wedding reception (plus it helps keep the mosquitos at bay since they don’t much care for the smoke).
