FAMILY AND NEWBORN SESSION FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS | LARK BUNTING PHOTOGRAPHY
What's Included in a Session? All sessions include my time and expertise, high resolution hand-edited digital images, and an access code to Style & Select which is an awesome online tool for styling your family in timeless and coordinating attire for your family photography session. You will receive 25 digital images for a standard family session and your entire gallery for a premium family session (a minimum of 50). Your digital images are delivered via an online gallery from which you can download and save them, print them and share them!
What time do family sessions take place? Sessions typically begin about 1.5 hours before sunset (this is called Golden Hour and it is the most stunning time to photograph outdoors) We will finish our session in about 45 minutes to 1 hour since little ones tend to be "over it" if it runs longer than that. If you have purchased a lifestyle family session in-home, these typically take place in the late morning but we will chat more after you have formally booked and decide together when your home gets the best natural light and schedule accordingly.
Where do sessions take place? I have a long list of included locations - mostly in the foothills for family sessions. We can also shoot in a park local to you, an ice cream shop, or wherever you envision your family photographs being taken, as long as you are willing to check to make sure a permit is not required at your desired location outside of my included options. There may be an additional fee for locations requested outside of my typical travel radius.
When should I book my session? Try to book at least two months in advance so that you don't miss out on your preferred date! That also gives us plenty of time to plan your session location, outfits, etc. I do have two young kids of my own as well, so I am always grateful for knowing my schedule a little bit in advance. Outdoors sessions book up quickly, so don't wait to get on the calendar for those. Summer sessions are the great to keep little ones happy and warm.
If you are scheduling a maternity session, I recommend booking a date at around 32-35 weeks of pregnancy so we don't risk you being too uncomfortable or going into labor before we get to shoot.
How long until I get my pictures back? My turnaround time is 3-4 weeks. Once you get your images, you are free to print them wherever you'd like but I recommend going through MPix or Costco so that you end up with high quality prints. Back up those files and please print them. I love getting pictures from clients who have their images displayed throughout their home. They deserve to be printed and displayed for years to come!
Can my pet come along? Of course! I'm a dog-lover and I am happy to include furry family members in your session (let me know ahead of time so that I can double check that I choose a location that is dog-friendly) Please consider bringing an additional family member to take your pup for a little walk when we're capturing images that don't include them.
