Haley and Hans chose me to capture their Fall family photography session in Littleton this year. I was so excited when I saw that they had booked a family session with me. This is the third time that I have had the honor of capturing their family. I have been documenting their little growing family since their maternity session before their adorable daughter, Ana was born.
I usually don’t photograph mini sessions, but I am always willing to do one for my returning family photography clients. Especially when it comes to one of my favorite families to work with. It isn’t too often that you come across laid back, fun families so when you do, you do everything in your power to hang on tight to them! Am I right, fellow photogs?
Note to Photographers about lighting at Ketring Park in Littleton
It was a little bit darker when we started than I had anticipated, but I ended up with some really beautiful, moody photos that I absolutely love the look of. Note to other photographers who are shooting at Ketring Park in Littleton – aim to start your photo session around half an hour earlier than you normally would. There are so many dense trees and the park is kind of in a low spot, so you end up losing sunlight before sunset actually happens. I didn’t really end up with much of a “Golden Hour” at all at this Littleton family photography session because I started exactly an hour before Sunset. Give it about an hour and a half before sunset for your start time at Ketring Park if you hope to capture your photo session during a “Golden Hour.”
